BTL Exilis Ultra is a non-invasive face and body contouring device designed to tighten skin while reducing cellulite and signs of fine lines and wrinkles.
It uses a combination of monopolar radio frequency (RF) energy and ultrasound to stimulate fat lipolysis (the breakdown of fat cells) and collagen remodelling (for skin tightening) along with skin cooling helping to contour all areas of the body.
No other device combines both these types of energy to work together to create this effect.
How it works:
The Exilis Ultra uses a combination of radio frequency energy and ultrasound and skin cooling to deliver controlled heating to target deep tissue, addressing deeper wrinkles, sagging skin and jowls, as well as the superficial skin layer to treat fine line and create tightening of skin.
The device comes with two hand pieces, a larger one to perform treatments on the body and a smaller one for treatments on the face.
The smaller hand piece creates focused thermal energy to disrupt the collagen fibres deep within the skin. The aim of treatment is to raise the temperature at the surface to 40-42 degrees for 4-5 minutes in each area treated to achieve the collagen tightening. This is felt as a warm sensation.
Collagen has a triple helix structure which begins to unravel when targeted by the heat. Over time the healing process encourages the production of collagen fibres, smoothing skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The collagen fibroblasts help to tighten loose or sagging skin offering aa overall more youthful appearance.
The large hand piece has the added feature of cooling enabling the depth of target area to be adjusted by changing the cooling setting to offer the ability to cause destruction of cellulite at several different layers beneath the skin surface creating cellulite reduction and body sculpting.
How long do results last:
It takes 4-5 treatments to create long lasting results. Final results are achieved approximately 3 months following final treatment. Results last at least 18 months at which time a maintenance treatment should be done to extend effect if desired.
